Grant Thornton Cyber Defense Solutions Senior Associate in Dallas, Texas
As a Cyber Defense Solutions Senior Associate, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs by applying a collection of cybersecurity capabilities, including cyber strategy and management, cyber defense, cyber assessments, and technical security testing for the Cybersecurity & Privacy Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Risk team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
Execute assigned client engagements from start to finish, which includes engagement planning, execution and reporting
Perform cybersecurity assessments such as cyber program evaluations, cyber maturity assessments, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews
Support technical security testing, including threat and vulnerability assessments
Assist clients in planning and executing cybersecurity remediation activities
Apply current knowledge of technology and cyber trends and identify security and risk management issues and other opportunities for improvement
Work with our clients to plan an engagement strategy, define objectives, and address cyber-related controls risks and issues
Proactively interact with key client stakeholders to gather information, execute on objectives, solve challenges, and make recommendations for improvements
Participate in professional development activities and training sessions on regular basis
Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
Other job duties as assigned
Travel as needed
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of related cybersecurity experience in a similar consulting practice or industry function
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required
Working knowledge of cybersecurity industry leading practices and frameworks, such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, CRI Profile, CIS Benchmarks, OWASP, or MITRE required
CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CRISC, cloud security or other related certifications preferred
Experience in one or more of the overarching areas below:
Conducting cybersecurity assessments against industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF)
Performing cybersecurity risk assessments
Executing technical security testing, such as vulnerability assessments or penetration testing
Reviewing security architecture deployments
Supporting cybersecurity remediation activities
Advising clients on complying with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., NY DFS, CMMC, PCI, HIPAA)
Assessing and/or implementing security solutions and controls within cloud service provider platforms
Exceptional client service, communication, analytical, organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
The base salary range for this position in New York, NY only is between $112,300 and $168,500.

Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program.
