Grant Thornton LLP Information Security Analyst (Privacy) Senior Associate in Arlington, Virginia

Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its RISK service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Analyze privacy laws, mandates, regulations, and policies; advise on potential impacts to the business unit's programs and activities.

Perform routine privacy compliance activities in accordance with appropriate laws.

Prepare periodic privacy reports and assist other offices upon request in completion of their privacy reports.

Review and recommend updates to privacy policies and procedures as required.

Manage privacy-related reporting databases.

Monitor external events involving privacy that may raise concerns with the organization's systems.

Coordinate with other offices in responding to and mitigating privacy data incidents or breaches.

Deliver annual privacy awareness training to employees.

Other security risk assessment and audit tasks may be required, e.g. conducting security scans, auditing systems, preparing reports.

Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.

Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.

Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials. Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.

Interview campus and/or experienced candidates

Privacy, Security, Privacy and Data Protection

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP),

PMI Certified International Project Manager (CIPM)

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

Travel may be required.

Coach and mentor junior staff members.

Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
